I learned about the different types of conditionals involved in the process of speech. The breakdown of each conditional will help a student to see the cause and effect of an action in a sentence. At times it may be difficult for a student to see the difference between conditionals 1, and 2, and the 3rd and mixed conditionals. I believe that activities that cover the different types of conditionals will help to sharpen students' understanding of the conditionals. Reported speech is a way for students to understand the changes in the tenses, when describing a situation from first to second person, and therefore may impact the past or present tense that is accurately used to describe an event or situation. it is important for the student to see how the speech will change depending on when it is being reported or who is reporting.
