This unit illustrates the management of the classroom such as maintaining discipline, the teacher's position, grouping students, writing on the board, giving instructions, and many other ideas that help the student succeed. I learned about different ways to group students because this gives a variety on how to keep the students interacting with others instead of the same person all the time. I also learned how to manage a classroom by maintaining discipline, but at the same time, not being too dominating.This unit introduces three aspects one needs to consider when teaching a new language: vocabulary, grammar, and functions. How the teacher decides to construct the lesson plans to introduce these aspects depends on various factors such as personal style, the students' level and the purpose of the class. However, one should keep in mind that in order to learn effectively, the students need to be exposed to the new language materials, be able to understand it, and practice freely with constructive feedback.
