This unit separated teaching a new language into three separate sections. The first section discusses teaching vocabulary. Choosing specific vocabulary would consist pf the teacher recognizing which vocab words are appropriate for the task and for the students. Also, the teacher must consider how often the word would be used in the students' everyday discussion. This would all come to reveal the teachability of the word. The second part of the unit covers how to introduce grammatical structures. To go over the structure the teacher must look cover the meaning of the language, the use of the word, the forms and patterns of the language, as well as the spoken and written forms. The third section focuses on teaching language function. The functions would include areas like inviting, refusing, agreeing and disagreeing, and suggesting.
