Unit 7 focuses on how to teach the English language to learners. It explains the factors in teaching vocabulary and language structures. I learned that in teaching, we need to consider how to teach new vocabulary words and the language structures. I learned that we have to expose learners to the language, let them understand the meaning and how words and sentences are constructed, and let them practice and produce their learnings. I was also able to learn about some ESA techniques in teaching the language such as the use of pictures, objects, drawings in the Engage phase; the use of drillings, worksheets, texts and dialogues in the Study phase; and the use of role-plays, debates, group activities in the Activate phase. This unit furthers my knowledge in creating a lesson which could probably let my learners have fun while learning.
