In this unit I have learnt about lesson planning and how it is important to plan lessons before hand but also be flexible.
I have learnt about the different functions of lesson planning and how important they are to making sure that lessons run smoothly.
I have also learnt the basic principles of lesson planning for example keeping the plan simple, writing the anticipated time for each lesson and not scripting the lessons so always allowing flexibility.
This unit stressed the importance of being organised when it comes to planning a lesson and also keeping records of what the students have already been taught.
This unit has also covered what I should include in a lesson plan and also the importance of monitoring my own lessons, therefore I will always be aware of my strengths and weaknesses and be able to improve my teaching skills.
