I had not heard of Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs) until this unit, so the lesson planning ideas and ways of using IWBs that were provided was valuable information to me. In addition to IWBs, the unit reviewed other equipment that teachers could use to assist their lessons, like worksheets, cassette records, and overhead projectors. All of which I was familiar with, though the listing of advantages and disadvantages of each type will be helpful when determining what aids to use. The most valuable section to me though was the section devoted to online sources. For they provide ways to access authentic materials that would expose students to English outside the classroom, ways for teachers to to improve their teaching methods, and ways for students to access additional worksheets to practice what they have learned inside the classroom.
