Testing is the most efficient way to understand where your students place themselves in the progress they have made. There are many kinds of tests that can happen throughout the course in order to further the teacher in making progress with the students. Learning about the different tests can help the teacher understand what kind of test works for their classes. Not every test works for every situation, so always have a variety of quizzes and tests ready throughout the course.This unit covered evaluation and testing. The different ways of assessing a student's language level are tutorials, evaluation by the students, and tests. I have learned that placement tests are used to place students in classes that be suit their language level. The unit covered when and how to use progress tests, diagnostic tests and practice tests in order to measure a student's progress over time. Lastly, the unit covered the various external Cambridge English assessments.
