This unit covered conditional phrases. If explained the various types of conditional statements identified as zero conditionals, first conditionals, second conditionals, third conditionals, and mixed conditionals. This unit also explained what direct speech is versus reported speech and all that is involved in using and writing these type of expressions. The unit also gave suggestions on activities that might be used to practice the grammar skills using these type of expressions.When I first started teaching, I thought lesson plans should be followed to the letter at all times. Over the years of teaching different classes with varying levels, the most important thing I learned about lesson planning is flexibility. Sometimes the activities that we anticipate would work in our classes could sometimes fall short of our expectations. It is important to have activities lined up should an initial activity designated on a particular phase of a lesson doesn't work.
