I found it interesting that writing should be more emphasized in the classroom. In my schooling, this was usually viewed as a solitary activity, as it can be time consuming. It was usually viewed as a chore. By including writing in group activities, the students will enjoy it more and have a more well rounded grasp of the language. Of course, focus on speaking fluency is important too, and the task in many cultures would be to choose subject matter the students are comfortable discussing. This makes structure and planning important, as cultural sensitivities must be considered.l have learnt from UNIT-15 (Evaluating&Testing) ;
There are generally 5 kinds of Tests ;
1- PLacement: This is level test, include all 4 types of skils( reading,writing,speaking,listening), goes easy to hard
2- Diagnostic: This methot tell us about the students current straight
3- Progress Test: Incl. all 4 types of skils- Useful to the teacherto show areas of class weakness- often required by the school or language center
4- Practice Test: Used for revision purposes & internal/external exams
5-External Test: Generally used for: General Eng. - Bussiness English - Academic English
