This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit showed me that tense is much more complex than just past/present/future, and that for stating an event that is in the present, there are many ways that this can be done. Especially concerning if the event is ongoing/finished or if it is a question towards someone else, and saying if the event did or did not happen. This will be a difficult aspect of English to teach to students so great care will be taken to totally learn the material and be equipped to provide adequate teaching. This was an extremely challenging unit. I was forced to refresh my memory with the tenses and also to seek extra explanation from other sources for verbal phrases. The examples regarding \"driving\" as a theme, were very good but I required more sentence examples for each type of verbal phrase.
My personal challenge was understanding the rules outlined in the unit.
However, the topics covered, were quite reflective of the idiomatic nuances of English Language. Very enlightening concepts.
