Unit 7 is about teaching a new language which usually involves vocabulary, grammar, and functions. There are also factors that must be considered when teaching vocabulary or grammar structure and sentence patterns or language functions. Whatever the lesson is, it should follow the ESA flow of the lesson whether it is straight arrow, boomerang or patchwork. I find this unit very useful in the sense that I know now how to structure my lesson whether it is vocabulary, grammar structures or language unctions.The unit elaborates the use of productive skills that is speaking and writing. These skills are used to communicate since every learner must say something, listen to something and is interested in what is being said. As we read further we are able to come across the types of speaking activities in the classroom. These activities include controlled activities, guided activities, creative communication. We also come across the various writing skills that is handwriting, spelling,layout and creative writing.
