This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Growing up, I always remembered seeing the phonemic symbols in dictionaries but I never knew how to read/translate them. I simply knew asked an adult or someone else how to pronounce the word and learned it that way. The concept of linked speech is very interesting to me because I am currently trying to master that concept in Korean as well. I also believe that teaching that concept to students will be a little difficult for every dialect has a different way of linking their speech. In this chapter, the studying material is about conditionals and reported speech. The 5 main conditionals are zero conditionals, first conditionals, second conditionals, third conditionals and mixed conditionals. Each conditionals has it's own form and usage. The content of this unit also show teachers the different methods of teaching there conditionals individually.
In the second part of this unit, it introduces the reported speech and how to use and teach it to the students.
