It is very important to identify students' strengths and weaknesses. If you can find the perfect balance between engaging the students and encouraging the students to study more. Students will have more fun learning and they will want to expose themselves more to the language. As the students are challenged with different activities, the teacher can assist those who are challenged and work towards clarity. Overall, the teachers role in the classroom should be to enrich the students learning styles and to integrate them fully in the language.This unit introduced receptive learning, which includes reading and listening skills, and discussed the many ways which people listen and read materials. The unit also discussed how to teach receptive skills, and gave an example of a patchwork lesson intended to teach listening skills. As someone who has struggled to develop listening skills when studying secondary languages this lesson was very interesting. I believe it will help me in my time as a teacher to better understand the many ways in which students will use their receptive skills
