This unit provided numerous theories, methods of teaching, explanations of stages, and techniques to use, while administering each stage. It also provided helpful ideas to use, in the classroom. Having taught English for the last 3 years, it is my personal opinion that the Communicative Language Teaching method works very well, if not better than most. The first school I taught at, preferred and focused on PPP and the second school allowed for the teachers to choose. Based on my teaching style and personality, I find it much more beneficial and successful to keep conversation going as much as possible. I do find it necessary to administer vocabulary and grammar techniques, but my students seem to benefit from using the language on a regular basis and show a level of confidence that I hadn’t seen, while using previous methods.
