Unit 8 is dedicated to the Future Tenses. Future Tenses can be relatively complicated for the English learners and telling the difference between different Tenses can represent a difficulty for unexperienced learners. That is why it is important for a Teacher to be able to explain the differences between the Tenses that express future actions (Future Simple, Future Continuous, Future Perfect, Future Perfect Continuous, going to, Present Simple, Present Continuous) and to pick the appropriate activities.This unit focuses on two of the most important skills used in the classroom which are speaking and writing. In order to communicate effectively, one must be able to produce a greater degree of fluency when speaking and a greater degree of accuracy when writing. Speaking activities tend to involve controlled, guided, and creative communication. The fear of students to speak in the classroom is explored and techniques to combat this fear are reviewed such as pair work, group work, and planning activities.
