This chapter coached us on practical teaching methods and suggestions for where to get the sourse materials and the advantages and disadvantages of the different types. Wherever possible do not try to explain the activity; demonstrate it instead. A lesson plan tells us what should happen throughout the lesson in a series of stages. It is also a record of what you have covered with a class, therefore acting as a historical document and point of reference to your syllabus.Weirdly I could not agree with this unit more, as I myself have frequently encountered students who refuse or cant participate in the classes, a lot of this I seem to put down to ?A.D.D?, since they always seem to get some rise out of being disruptive in the class.
A usual addition to this course would be to see a unit covering more specifically the procedures to try to handle it instead of just trying to get them more involved, perhaps a case study would be effective?
