The unit identified the traits that distinguish a good teacher and a good student .It explained how to asses the levels of students and the differences between adult and young learners.
I learnt that teaching is a dance between the teacher and the students .That a motivated teacher will end up with motivated students .I learnt that the teacher has to be culturally sensitive and respond to the students' learning requirement by changing roles and being creative ,if the students lose interest in listening or a certain activity ,the teacher must use a different approach.I also learnt that the teacher must give students equal attention and must do that consciously to avoid favoritism .
I learnt that it is extremely important to assess and give feed back during lessons but to use positive motivation and not harsh correction to achieve that
