The unit also emphasizes the effectiveness of the engage-study-activate (ESA) methodologies for classroom teaching.Unit 13 was about teaching pronunciation and phonology. I have learned that there is an International Phonemic Alphabet. As the unit stated, I also think that it is important to know the Phonemic Alphabet as a teacher. Although I think it will be difficult to learn. I enjoyed learning about the tones of language. Currently I am learning Japanese and find it difficult to learn the tone of the language, so I understand that this aspect of language may be hard for my students.
