It is very useful having a Unit talking bout coursebooks. When I have a classroom grroup with different levels and I need to decide which coursebook for each level grade, I need to have priorities and be able to support my decision at the moment to buy it and see the availability of the material.
I am very good creating my own material of teaching because Teaching a second language has specific settings, daily toos, and many times They are difficult to find on regular manuals or workbooks.This unit was difficult because I have never studied phonology and pronunciation before. I had learned a little bit about intonation because I have studied Spanish and other languages, but I can definitely see why English is such a difficult language to learn. It was interesting to be able to try and make the different sounds and seeing how accurate the descriptions were. After looking over the link to the full phonetics chart, it is clear that I need to spend more time studying this unit.
