This unit gives very important information for a future teacher. It describes all known teaching English methods, and their merits and demerits. All of them still can be used any time depending on a teacher's choice. The variety of approaches to students is amazingly rich. It's like an encyclopedia of strategies. As a former teacher of Russian language I found this description very helpful, useful and definitely will use all of methods for my future work.No single method of teaching English is perfect. This unit has reinforced the ideas that I learned in the basic TEFL class - namely that Engage, Study and Activate are a judicious blend of the various pedagogies that have come before. It is not necessarily a method like the others described in the unit; rather it is an approach a teacher takes to fully immerse the student in a language, and can be used in the various methodologies used by various schools.
