Unit Eight explained the 7 Future Tenses. The Future Simple is used with future facts and certainties, promises, predictions, assumptions/speculations, spontaneous decisions, and threats. The Future Continuous is used to say something that will be in progress at a specific moment in the future, to predict the present, for polite inquiries, and to refer to fixed future events. The Future Perfect is used to say that something will have been done, completed, or achieved by a certain time in future. The Future Perfect Continuous is used to say how long something will have continued by a certain time. The Going To Future tense is used with intentions, predictions based on present evidence, and plans. The Present Simple form is used for more formal future situations, for timetables and schedules, and to suggest a more impersonal tone.
