Well, what an interesting unit this is!. Intonation, Stress, Phonemes, articulation and sound production are all important components of pronunciation. Although some professionals may not give full emphasis to this area as being worthy of more significant contributions to the language development of ESL students, as a Phonetics specialist in my earlier teaching years working with very young children who were establishing their first language skills, I can verify that this is the singular most important aspect of early language development along development of decoding skills. Anyway, the unit along with explanation of various forms of sound production associated with individual letter sounds, word, syllables and sentence structures, we are also introduced to the anatomical features directly associated with production of various sounds.
