Unit 19 gives a detailed analysis of teaching special groups and the different types of classes that a teacher may be required to teach. I am fortunate to have taught in most all of these scenarios over a forty year teaching span and would commend the usefulness of the indepth treatment of the topic in this unit. My teaching experience was not in language but science math based subjects but the same basic principles apply. I especially enjoyed the adult learners who took evening classes after a tiring day's work. Teaching basic algebra to a group of mainly immigrants in Seattle in an evening class posed some problems in basic English before the intricacies of algebra could be unraveled. This unit would have been so useful to me many years ago. I have learned much from it and would hope to build on this in any future teaching I may do.
