This unit talks about teaching special groups, beginners both young and old as well as business English or teaching English for specific purposes. It gives tips on how to approach each group, what techniques would be good and things to avoid, overall it talks about how to effectively teach special groups depending on their needs, motivations and circumstances (working or full time student). This chapter is important because it talks not only things to do but also to avoid; as a person who've already learned two other languages aside from my native language, I can attest that what has been said to avoid has happened in the classroom I was being taught and it has made it difficult to learn at times, so much so that I contemplated quiting. Sensitivity to students is key to not put to much pressure but to give enough to instigate learning.
