This Unit showed the basic roles of the teacher as well of that of the student. Descriptors showed what character traits would make for a good teacher and what characteristics should be found in a good learner. A general description of role for a teacher such as model, manager, assessor and monitor were also discussed. Learners age and the challenges associated with the different age groups (adult, young, pre puberty and post puberty) were noted and possible solutions to dealing with these challenges were mentioned. The levels of language fluency alongside their notable traits in general as well as the levels of fluency denoted by the council of Europe were listed. Possible motivations for adult learners were listed as they have more autonomy and have specific goals for themselves as to why they are participating in learning once more.
