This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 16 presented conditionals and reported speech. Conditionals are used when referring to possibilities. For example, when answering what one would do if they were to win a million dollars, one would use the conditional. This part of grammar is important for students to learn because it helps them speak about past, present, and future actions and their possible outcomes; therefore, a student is not limited to direct cause and effect. Reported speech is how one tells another person what someone else has said. This part of grammar contains many subtleties, which can make it complicated though it may seem easy. Studying the different ways the passage of time is told in reported speech is important so that students can understand when something took place when listening, and so they can describe when something took place to someone else.
