This unit comes back to another big topic in English grammar- reported speech and also various types of conditionals (0,1,2,3& mixed).
In my opinion, it is more challenging for learners to learn reported speech as they have to remember those tense-changing rules. Common errors can be found in the changing of 'past simple to past perfect', 'present perfect to past perfect' and ' past perfect remains the same'. Another two common errors spotted among students are the change of pronouns and also time and place expressions. Teachers should always highlight these common errors to raise awareness of students. One should not neglect anyone of the errors mentioned above.
And for conditional sentences, teachers should practice more on type 3 and mixed conditional, as they are not used frequently in our daily life like the other two types do.
