This unit introduces the rules and the applied usage of Modal Auxiliary Verbs, the Passive Voice, Relative Clauses and Phrasal Verbs within the English grammatical system. Unlike previous units relating to grammar subjects, I personally found the information provided in the unit text, in particular to Phrasal Verbs and Relative Clauses was too brief and rather misleading! This necessitated myself in carrying out further research before completing the test.This lessson discusses how teachers can apply the ESA methods to introduce new vocabulary, grammatical structures and language functions. Although selecting lessons may be guided by a course book, teachers must build lessons that are appropriate to the age and level of ability of the students and how often the students are likely to come across the language. Teachers will choose been different ESA approaches such as straight arrow, boomerang and patchwork.
