Before this unit I did not realize there were so many past tenses that we had to work with within the English language! No wonder English is the hardest language to learn, there are so many different rules and factors to work with. However, I liked how the unit was set up with different tables and examples, the descriptions were all very clear making the content easy to interrupt. Moving forward this will be a valuable resource when teaching English.Selecting which vocabulary when teaching is important to ensure maximum retention. In this lesson, we learned how to select the right vocabulary as well as techniques to approach teaching the vocabulary and possible problems that may arise when introducing new words. Also, grammatical structure was touched upon here, as were the ways to approach teaching these subjects and different activities one could use in each phase, Engage, Study, and Activate.
