In this unit I've learnt about past tense. The most interesting about this unit for me were the specific teaching ideas. I feel like it will make it easier for me to explain and show the differences between each past tense. I think I can use for example the 'detective game' and 'story telling' to show students the specific differences.
Besides that I think the descriptions of the usage are very helpful and I feel it has improved my understanding of it as well. So I think that has improved my explanation skills when it comes to this subject.In this unit, I learned about evaluation and testing. First, the unit introduced different ways of evaluating students' skills and progress, such as tutorials, evaluation by students and tests. Next, the unit introduced different types of tests that can be given to students and explained their uses. An example of a placement test was provided. Then, external examinations, of examinations that happen outside of a language school were introduced along with their different purposes such as for work, living abroad or usage in a business setting.
