At first I took this first unit as something to breeze through quickly but then later realized that it is very important to understand the importance in defining the roles and qualities of a 'good teacher' as well as learning about different learners. Understanding the different levels of learners give more information on how to deal with a specific student it helps the teacher as well in preparing him/herself in the class she has to give her student. Learning more about a students motivation in learning the language also helps in knowing what level of encouragement and motivation has to be presented in each class. As well as stating the good qualities and roles of a teacher helps in providing me as the student ways to learn what is expected of me as a teacher and helps to know what tools needed in becoming an effective english teacher.
