This unit explored the very important issue in the teaching process - lesson planning. It is especially important for the inexperienced teachers, as they lack confidence and expertise and flexibility.
Lesson planning helps to stay organized, to keep track of language points covered, activities used, goals achieved. So teachers need to spend time working on them, especially in the beginning of their teaching career. What type of LP structure to choose is up to teachers, what should be mentioned here though is that they they can’t be rigid frames. Teachers need to be flexible, to adapt their lessons to the students goals and interests.
LPs also help teachers to develop themselves, as they can write down what their personal aims are and work on them. Self evaluation forms can prove to be a great helping hand in growing professionally.
