Improving one's grammar is an ongoing task. The second unit focused on an introduction to grammar with an emphasis on parts of speech. I learned the importance of sentence structuring, especially when using adverbs. There are five types of adverbs: degree, frequency, manner, place, and time. I appreciated the sections that shared classroom exercises. These exercises help students understand more complicated grammar rules and clear up any confusion.This Unit covers the four Present tense and general view on the Tense system. It has been thought-provoking, finding out that Linguists believe only two tenses exist, whilst we EFL teachers have to take slightly an more in-depth approach in this regard. I agree with the statement of there being three times in English. I have also learnt that as an EFL teacher it is vital that I have sound knowledge of this system and shouldn't be intimidated by it.
