Unit 16 was focused on conditionals, including zero, first, second, third, and mixed; on reported and direct speech; and on ideas for how to teach these concepts. This unit taught me about how tenses change when one is reporting on something someone else said, as well as ways in which to teach the concepts included in the unit, such as through intermediaries, media interviews, listing reporting verbs, and completing conditionals, among other methods.Modals, phrasal verbs and the passive tense might be thought of as advanced grammar points. These concepts might be very hard for basic English language students, and they are also hard for native English speakers to explain since they learned modals and phrasal verbs especially over many years. It is important in my opinion for a teacher to take small bits of this information and use them in lessons when teaching these concepts for the first time.
