This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 18 posed to be quite difficult for me, particularly the relative clauses because I could not understand the distinguishing features of intransitive, transitive separable, and inseparable phrasal verbs. I had to go onto outside websites and find further explanations to understand their variations. I worry that without better understanding of these concepts I will find teaching these lessons more difficult, but with study and preparation I think I can grasp these and teach them effectively. But I greatly enjoyed the auxiliary modals chart of usage and formation, I found it very informative and helpful. This lesson taught me that repeated exposure and integration of learned functional examples will slowly acclimate into the students regular vocabulary and inevitably allow them to use such grammar skills in their everyday language.
