The 7 most common future tenses were discussed in length within this unit. I learned the types of usages for each tense, including similarities between them. One such similarity was that several tenses share a prediction type of usage. The future simple tense and \"going to\" future tense are two of the tenses with the only difference being that one is based on no present evidence while the other one is. Knowing the similarities will help greatly in distinguishing the slight differences between the tenses to students.In this unit I covered the following grammar topics: Modal Auxiliary Verbs (including basic rules, examples with tenses, and teaching ideas), Passive Voice (along with tense and formation), Relative Clauses (including the three categories along with examples), and Phrasal Verbs (along with the three types). I found Phrasal verbs to be challenging because not enough explanation is provided and the examples are far too simple (especially when compared to those tested). I have made not of this topic for further research.
