Grammar is a very vital part of a students education for this is the \"tree trunk\" of any language.Testing is a necessary staple of the English Language classroom. Placement tests determine a student's language level before they enroll in a course. Teachers can also give diagnostic tests to evaluate their students' abilities before designing units. Progress tests are given throughout the year to track student achievement. I had no concept of the variety of TEFL exams offered to students. A functional understanding of English as a Second Language exams will help me generate useful lesson plans and effective cumulative assessments.
