The eighth unit focuses on the teaching speaking and writing skills which are productive skills. It is highlighted that writing skills are as important as the speaking, thus they should not be ignored. In the first part of the unit the speaking skills are presented describing the difference between accuracy and fluency activities. Moreover the unit provides the approaches how to increase students’ interaction and how to behave before the lesson and during the activity and after it. The second part of the unit covers the writing skills mentioning the aspects that should be considered by the teacher which include handwriting, spelling, layout and pronunciation.
Finally the typical creative speaking and writing activity lessons described as well as examples of using games in the classroom are of great importance for my teaching career.
