The course material states that regardless of the business environment, \"much of the language in business interactions is the same.\" I am curious as to the extent this statement is true in a large multinational corporation where there is likely to be an interesting dynamic between the official corporate culture of the MNC, the diversity of employees, and the culture of the \"host nation-state.\" So you can have a British company staffed by a large number of employees from India, but the company is based in Beijing, China. My hope is that if ever I come across this environment to work in, the MNC has some kind of Business English policy to guide me. However, if I am asked to develop such a policy for the MNC, I would recommend a widely-accepted international standard for the use of Business English. I hope this set of standards exist.
