According to the content of this unit, there are many methods and techniques used to teach and learn languages. There are many advantages and disadvantages to each method and technique. However, using different approaches and methods to teach English will largely depend on your own personal style of teaching as well as the needs of the students and their level of English proficiency (whether they are more advanced or a beginner). The 'ESA' or Engage, Study, and Activate method as mentioned in this unit can be a helpful tool in having students be exposed to the language and allowing them the opportunity for them to use it. This is a useful tool for new teachers such as myself. This method allows teachers to plan out their lesson plans in a methodical manner and also, helps produce a conducive language learning environment for the students.
