This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit is about present tenses. Present Simple is subject + verb base. It's used for habit, facts, directions, and news. Present Continuous is subject + be + verb -ing. It's used for something in progress, temporary actions, habit, and stories. Present Perfect is have/has + past participle. It's used for things at indefinite times, experiences, finished things in an unfinished period, something from the past that's still happening, past actions with current results. Present Perfect Continuous is subject + have/has + been + verb -ing. It's used for explaining the duration of ongoing actions or have finished recently but still have an effect.
I have learned present tense grammar construction from this unit. I have learned the terminology as well as when they are used. Now I can better explain to students how and when to use these forms.
