This unit focuses on the types of materials that are available for English language training, how they can be created or adapted, and how to put them to use. Authentic and non-authentic materials are defined in this unit, too, with authentic materials being those materials that have been created for a purpose other than the classroom and non-authentic materials being produced as a teaching aid. Lesson planning is an important aspect of this unit, with answering questions such as why we have a lesson plan, what should be in it and how to use it. Examples of lesson plans are also included, with detailed, filled-in plans for the perusal of the student. Book resources are also in this unit, displaying references covering business situations as well as language acquisition. Using the internet and a materials webliography conclude the unit.
