This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit covers reported / direct speech as well as conditionals. As a former computer programmer, I was rather pleased to see conditionals as it a topic frequently covered in the math/science lessons. I had not realized there were so many conditionals involved. As American English is my L1, my English classes in elementary school did not discuss all the terms that are covered throughout this course. As usual, I found the teaching ideas helpful and am beginning to realize that sometimes terms can be important. Granted, I would not ask elementary students to memorize the term 'past perfect', but, as I hope to teach advanced students, it would be extremely helpful if they knew the rules and their names for instruction purposes.
