Unit two was an introduction to parts of speech. It covered Nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, articles, gerunds, pronouns, and conjunctions. Each part plays an important role in the sentence. For me, the most interesting part was the articles. They look simple to understand as a native speaker of English, but they are often the hardest to learn for foreign learners. This is probably due to all the rules that come with their use. I hope I can help my students to overcome their struggle with articles in the future. I'm not yet 100% comfortable with gerunds (especially thinking of an example on the spot). I understand they are the ~ing form of a verb used as a noun but pointing it out can be a bit confusing for me. I will keep looking at examples, and hopefully, it will click for me soon. Overall, this unit was very interesting.
