Unit 1 offers the teacher to get the general idea of what this course is about. It gives a brief description of the content of each unit separately, which can be very helpful for the future teachers who will be aware of their own expectations and the course's expectations. Although the number of the units might seem peculiar, all the units cover the most important areas which are important when working with young learners, who are also the target group of this course. Despite the many theories and divisions made for making a conclusion who are the young learners, we will define the young learners as students between the age of five to thirteen. This unit also suggest that nowadays, the TEFL teachers are a wanted profession, and although the salaries are different in many countries, they can be really satisfying and offer a comfortable life.
