This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 4 covered materials a teacher may use in the BE setting. Beginning with authentic materials (those that have been produced other than for classroom use) and non authentic (materials produced to be used in a classroom - for example, materials produced by an educational company). Both types of materials have their advantages and disadvantages, with authentic probably (depends on lesson being taught) being the better choice especially in the BE environment. Again, lesson planning is a priority for any teacher. There are excellent books to use for resources and with the internet, those possibilities expand. One thing to note: on the test, the last question asked what URL stands for..... all of the answer options are wrong in my opinion. URL stands for Universal (NOT UNIFORM which was listed on each possible answer) Resource Locator.
