The contents of the unit offers a wide explanation about theories related to learning and development from childhood to maturity; and also take into account ideas and theories about the first and second language adquisition process. This unit also shows a methodology based in two groups of different degree of maturity in order to design an appropiate class syllabus, and how to design a correct learning environment to facilitate full class interaction(circular, semicircular,group tables, etc), gives a conceptual explanation about the different roles of the teacher. This unit also portrays several ideas and concepts about Maturation describing all the issues we need to take into consideration about the likes and deslikes and ideas to optimized the development of the class according to the skills of the two groups ( group 5-9 and group 9-13).
