This unit discusses the grammatical issues of modal auxiliary verbs, passive voice, relative clauses, and phrasal verbs. First modal auxiliary verbs are listed and a table is provided to explain the usage of each with examples in present, future, and past tenses. Also parallel sentences are presented that vary the modal auxiliary verb to highlight how these verbs influence meaning. Teaching ideas are also presented. Next, the use of passive voice in discussed and a table provided listing the construction of each tense in passive voice. Again teaching ideas are presented. Defining and non-defining relative clauses are explained with examples. Finally, 3 types of phrasal verbs are presented with examples. I found the table of modal auxiliary verbs and the presentation of phrasal verbs helpful for understanding these issues in an organized way.
