I loved the variety of materials presented in this unit and it is heartening to think of teachers creating their own materials--this is what I advocate strongly for all of my pre-service educators. I also appreciate the openness and honesty in your critique of coursebooks. I almost never use a textbook in my classroom because I always opt for created or authentic materials, but I think some of my students likely suffer for it because they are so accustomed to the safety net of the textbook. I am curious, however about the lesson sequencing questions at the end of this unit. I can imagine multiple ways of laying out a boomerang lesson, even with the materials provided, so I am unsure how accurately I answered the questions. A case could be made for using the prompts on the cards early then having the students create their own role plays late.
