Unit 10 effectively demonstrates how important it is to maintain a positive, receptive and patient attitude when teaching. The second lesson ran smoothly because the teacher was empathetic towards his students and was thus concerned with how well they understood the instructions. The students were generally never confused as to what was expected of them in any given task. The level of anxiety in the classroom was kept at a minimum due to the teacher’s positive attitude, which extended even to the manner in which he corrected his students. In the first video the teacher seemed disinterested and even bothered by the fact that the students were struggling with the instructions that he was giving. He failed to realize that a student is not able to demonstrate their knowledge if they do not first even understand what is being asked of them.
